About Dominion Energy
Dominion Energy is built on a proud legacy of public service, innovation and community involvement. In addition to our core businesses, Dominion Energy and our 17,000 employees invest in the communities where we live and work and by practicing responsible environmental stewardship wherever we operate. In addition, Dominion Energy is committed to providing reliable, affordable, and increasingly clean energy every day and to achieving Net Zero emissions by 2050.
Dominion Energy is deeply committed to hiring and supporting military veterans, active-duty service members, and their families. Through our dedicated Military and Veterans Hiring Program, we actively recruit veterans, military spouses, and those transitioning from active duty, recognizing the unique skills in leadership, teamwork, and technical expertise that they bring to the workforce. Dominion Energy is proud to be a founding member of the "Troops to Energy Jobs" initiative, a program designed to help veterans transition from military service to civilian careers in the energy sector, offering resources, training, and job placement support.
Within the company, the Dominion Energy Veterans Employee Resource Group (VRG) provides a strong network for veterans, fostering professional development, networking opportunities, and a sense of community. We partner with educational institutions to offer training and certification programs that help veterans translate their military skills into energy sector careers, including the use of the GI Bill for Apprenticeship and On-the-Job Training in Energy.
Dominion Energy has been recognized as a Military-Friendly Employer, reflecting our commitment to hiring and retaining veterans, and listed among the Top 100 Military-Friendly Employers by various organizations. The company also provides comprehensive military leave benefits, ensuring that employees who are called to active duty or training can do so without compromising their job security or benefits. Additionally, Dominion Energy supports military families through flexible work arrangements, support groups, and other family-oriented programs, and we are actively involved in community initiatives that support military members and veterans, including sponsorship of veteran-focused events and donations to military charities. This commitment is a core part of Dominion Energy’s workforce strategy, recognizing the invaluable contributions that veterans make to both their business and the broader community.
