The Global Patriot Europe Finance team within the Land and Air Defense Systems (LADS) Strategic Business Unit (SBU), has an immediate opening for an Associate Director of Finance to support its Central Europe program area. This role will be responsible for managing multiple strategic, high growth Patriot programs with European Customers. In this role, the candidate will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment leading a unique P&L of Direct Commercial Sale (DCS) and Foreign Military Sale (FMS) programs, including close collaboration with international Raytheon entities. The selected candidate will act as a trusted business leader within the broader Global Patriot organization, responsible for partnering across functions and teams to deliver outcomes that directly impact Raytheon’s results. Ideal candidate will have strong experience across multiple phases of both product and program lifecycles, with the leadership, organization, and financial acumen to make proactive, autonomous decisions.
The European market for Patriot is currently in a significant growth phase, with strong demand for both Ground Systems and Effectors. Finance serves as a critical business partner by providing proactive financial leadership, analysis, insight, and guidance to achieve near-term, tactical objectives and make sound, long-term strategic decisions. Financial oversight is critical to drive investment and operational decisions that will fund and yield production capacity expansion to meet the needs of our Customers in a dynamic global market. In this role, you can expect to frequently interface and collaborate with multiple Customers, partners, and internal company leaders at multiple levels of organization, which will require you to possess strong presentation and communication skills with a solid understanding of financial performance, management, processes, compliance, and governance.
This role is being offered in an onsite capacity. The preferred candidate will be located within a commutable distance to Tewksbury, MA.
What You Will Do
Manage P&L for a portfolio of strategic, high-growth European Patriot programs
Lead, grow, and develop a multi-layered finance team of 10-20 employees
Establish, maintain and drive robust controls over program and financial performance
Ensure program adherence to RLPM and CORE operating processes
Establish effective program processes to drive consistency and efficiency across business cadence
Act as a key business partner to Program Area Director, PMs, IPTs, and Functional leads
Ensure transparency and predictability across our Financial outlooks and reporting
Ensure completion of timely and accurate quarterly EACs for revenue recognition
Drive financial performance in support of business commitments and communicate key messaging to Leadership
Establish financial terms and structures within our proposals and contracts that successfully manage company risk and realize targeted returns
Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field & a minimum of 12 years’ experience in finance or related business role; OR an Advanced degree and 10 years' experience in finance or related business role
Experience interfacing and conducting business with various functional disciplines (Contracts, Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain)
Experience leading a team of finance professionals and experience briefing senior leadership
Qualifications We Prefer
Experience managing a unique team to achieve complex, long-term objectives
Excellent oral and written communication skills, with ability and comfort to succinctly present to senior levels of leadership
Understanding of EAC structure/preparation and Risk and Opportunity Management Experience with APEX, PRISM, IOTs, Rplan and EDIT+
Understanding of AOP and Long-Range Planning, program forecasting and metrics
Demonstrated ability to be proactive and solve multifaceted problems, including using critical and strategic thinking to make difficult business decisions
Strong initiative and ability to manage multiple projects and priorities; with a collaborative mindset and the demonstrated ability to influence others and achieve results

The salary range for this role is 157,200 USD - 298,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
