Position Summary:
This position will provide leadership and coaching to the Sales Rating and Specification (SRS) team, particularly in the areas of vehicle specifications, rating, workflow, and deal management processes. They will also manage the workload across the team of Sales Spec & Rating Specialists, analyzing the deal volumes and adjusting Executive Account Manager (EAM) assignments as needed. This position will proactively review the active cases and work with the Sales Spec & Rating Specialists to help move deals along.
Additional responsibilities include hiring and managing the onboarding of new associates in the Sales Rating & Specification Specialist role, as well as providing ongoing coaching. The Sales SRS Team Manager will also identify improvements to the system used by the SRS team and/or surrounding business processes and work with the Manager, Sales Systems to prioritize, test, and implement the enhancements.
This position will also be responsible for the career development of the members of the SRS team as well as modifying the structure of the SRS team based upon evolving business needs.
Major Responsibilities:
• Provide ongoing coaching, career development and technical support for the Sales Rating and Specification team.
• Manage the hiring into the team and provide onboarding training and related materials to new Sales Rating and Specification team members.
• Conduct regular one-on-one sessions with each associate and reach out to individual EAMs to obtain specific feedback.
• Review active cases and proactively provide support for complex and time-consuming cases.
• Use metrics and EAM feedback to quickly identify any performance issues and jointly develop improvement activities.
• Identify system improvements and work stream processes to improve the efficiency of the SRS team.
• Encourage teamwork, collaboration, and sharing of best practices and time saving techniques.
• Create a culture of continuous learning and peer teaching.
• Analyze case workload across the team members and make periodic adjustments to EAM assignments as needed.
• Identify other opportunities to provide support to the lease sales associates (i.e., expanding to local, additional responsibilities, etc.), lease sales management team, or special program support.
• Other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications:
• 5 years of management or project leadership experience in similar business structure.
• 5 years of corporate role supporting processes for field associates.
• Bachelor’s Degree require. If no degree, equivalent work experience is required.
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job.
• Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening are required.
