JOB SUMMARY:
We are seeking a Quality Engineer to ensure that products and manufacturing processes meet customer, regulatory, and company quality requirements. The successful candidate will support quality improvement initiatives, investigate production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
The role will also be responsible for First Article Inspection (FAI) activities and documentation, as well as monitoring and processing SAP Quality Notifications (SAP-QN).
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Monitor and improve product and process quality performance.
Lead and coordinate investigations of quality issues and provide appropriate disposition for nonconforming or on-hold products.
Perform root cause analysis using quality tools such as 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone, and Pareto Analysis.
Develop, implement, and monitor Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
Review engineering drawings, specifications, work instructions, and applicable quality requirements.
Perform quality data analysis and prepare quality reports and presentations.
Collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Suppliers to identify and resolve quality issues.
Ensure compliance with applicable Quality Management Systems (QMS), customer requirements, and regulatory standards.
Prepare and maintain monthly SRR reports.
Prepare and review First Article Inspection (FAI) reports and documentation.
Monitor and process SAP Quality Notifications (SAP-QN) and ensure timely closure of quality issues.
Support continuous improvement and other quality-related projects as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline.
Preferably 3 years or more of experience in Quality Engineering or a related field.
Knowledge of quality tools and methodologies, including 8D, FMEA, SPC, MSA, Control Plan, and Pareto Analysis.
Familiarity with ISO 9001, AS9100, or other relevant quality standards is an advantage.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and coordination skills.
Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Knowledge and experience with ERP and Quality Management Systems.
Experience in aerospace, automotive, electronics, or other highly regulated manufacturing industries is an advantage.
Knowledge and experience in Customer Quality function is an advantage.
PREFERRED SKILLS:
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and quality control principles.
Experience with FAI and nonconformance management.
Experience using SAP or other ERP/QMS systems.
Strong ability to analyze quality data and identify trends.
Proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
Ability to communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.

Hybrid: Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will work regularly both onsite and offsite. Ratio of time working onsite will be determined in partnership with your leader.
Remote: Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home). If you live within a reasonable commute of an RTX site with other colleagues you interact with, your manager will discuss whether there is a degree of onsite presence associated with this role.
Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.
Requires theoretical knowledge typically obtained through University Degree. Limited to some knowledge of RTX organization.
Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and less than 2 years prior relevant experience.
Engineering/Other Technical Positions: Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
