The BOLT (Building Opportunities & Learning Together) Intern Program is Kinder Morgan’s elite summer internship program. What You Will Do:
POSITION DESCRIPTION
• White Paper Project:
o Research a critical issue impacting the energy industry with implications for Kinder Morgan.
o Draft research paper that makes a compelling, factual case for the necessity and positive impacts of
energy development in the United States.
• Legislative Reports:
o Compile, organize and update the weekly report on legislative and regulatory activity of importance to Kinder Morgan.
• Project Support:
o Conduct background research and develop reports on topics in support of the public affairs team’s
outreach and engagement efforts.
o Draft meeting or event briefs, summarizing logistical and background information for the public affairs
team.
o Draft after action reports summarizing key meetings and events conducted by the public affairs team.
• Develop Informational Materials:
o Help to update state fact sheets listing key information about the company’s assets and economic
impacts in states where Kinder Morgan operates.
• Outreach:
o Contact prospective organizations to evaluate and schedule speaking engagements for company
executives to help further Kinder Morgan’s thought leadership program.
