What will your day-to-day look like?
The Blade line is seeking mechanical technicians. You will be responsible of set up, operate, and adjust a wide range of computer-numerically controlled (CNC) machine tools—including lathes, grinders, milling machines, EDM machines, and laser cutting machines—to machine new parts and repair worn parts.
To do this, you will:
Prepare and interpret conventional and computer-assisted design (CAD) engineering designs, drawings, and specifications for machines and components, power transmission systems, process piping, heating, ventilating and air conditioning systems
Set-up, program, operate, and maintain CNC Milling equipment.
Perform Manual Lathe and Milling Operations.
Use specialized equipment, related software and systems such as, but not limited to, robotics, machine logic, tooling, Human - Machine Interface (HMI), and Computer Numerical Controlled (CNC) milling, part marking and ATTI.
Conduct tests and analyses of machines, components and materials to determine their performance, strength, response to stress and other characteristics
Facilitate continuous improvement by using tools such as Kaizen events and CORE Operating System.
Design moulds, tools, dies, jigs and fixtures for use in manufacturing processes
Be actively involved in maintaining training documentation (OJT’s, Standard Work) and leading area training as required.
Support EH&S initiatives and actively participate in incident investigations, tier 1 audits and WAA
Report and present on Manufacturing Line cell
What You Need to Succeed
Requirements:
Technical certification as a Machinist, Post-Secondary training as a Mechanical Engineering Technician.
Mechanical design skills using CAD Software for designing Production fixtures, jigs, and automation equipment for use in an Electronic Manufacturing Production environment.
Previous grinding and/or machining experience will be considered an asset
Experience with Mastercam CAD/CAM Software
Experience with Haas CNC Equipment
Experience with SolidWorks CAD Software
Must be eligible to permanently work in Canada
Fluency in English

Salary range: 70,000$ to 106,000$ depending on candidate experience.
