*Job Overview*
Las Cumbres Community Services is seeking an experienced Clinical Director to provide clinical and operational leadership for behavioral health services throughout Santa Fe and Northern New Mexico. This position supervises and develops Clinical Supervisors, promotes high-quality trauma-responsive care, and helps ensure services meet clinical, regulatory, documentation, safety, productivity, and quality standards.
*Key Responsibilities*
* Provide clinical leadership and consultation across Behavioral Health programs and locations.
* Promote family-centered, trauma-responsive, developmentally appropriate, and evidence-based care.
* Provide administrative, clinical, and reflective supervision to Clinical Supervisors and designated program leads.
* Coach supervisors in clinical decision-making, personnel management, staff development, leadership, and accountability.
* Ensure effective clinical risk assessment, crisis response, safety planning, mandated reporting, and escalation procedures.
* Monitor service access, referrals, waitlists, caseload distribution, staffing capacity, productivity, and documentation quality.
* Use electronic medical records and program data to identify trends, monitor performance, and oversee corrective action and quality-improvement efforts.
* Partner with Human Resources and program leadership to recruit, orient, develop, evaluate, and retain clinical staff, supervisors, and interns.
* Identify and coordinate professional development, licensure, continuing education, supervision, and evidence-based practice training needs.
* Support sustainable clinical practice, reflective leadership, professional boundaries, and trauma stewardship.
* Strengthen relationships with schools, courts, healthcare providers, behavioral health providers, referral sources, community organizations, and other partners.
* Contribute to agency planning, program development, workforce planning, grant and contract reporting, and strategic growth.
* Maintain a regular and visible leadership presence across the communities served.
*Required Qualifications*
* Master’s degree in Counseling, Art Therapy, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a closely related clinical behavioral health field.
* Current independent clinical license in New Mexico as an LPCC, LPAT, LISW, or LMFT.
* Eligibility to provide clinical supervision under applicable New Mexico licensing-board requirements.
* At least five years of progressively responsible behavioral health experience serving children, youth, caregivers, and/or families, or an equivalent combination of relevant clinical and leadership experience.
* At least two years of clinical supervision, team leadership, or comparable responsibility supporting the clinical work and professional development of others.
* Training in at least one relevant evidence-based or evidence-informed model, such as Child-Parent Psychotherapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Child-Centered Play Therapy, Circle of Security Parenting, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, EMDR, or Art Therapy.
* Strong clinical judgment and knowledge of trauma-responsive, family-centered, and developmentally appropriate practice.
* Ability to interpret clinical, operational, and quality data and use it to guide decision-making and service improvement.
* Excellent leadership, organization, problem-solving, relationship-building, and written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to use electronic medical records, data systems, and common office technology.
* Reliable transportation, a current driver’s license, and vehicle insurance sufficient for regular work-related travel.
