What You Will Do
Coordinate and plan Engineering Resources to support operations on day-to-day matters including technical enquiry, engine testing troubleshooting and out of scope repair instructions development.
Manage engine investigation and teardown review including preparation of relevant reports.
Perform engine performance and parts analysis to improve engine build standards.
Review Customer’s requirements and recommend engine work scope to optimize engine on-wing life.
Lead periodic technical review with Customers on engines shop visit trend when required.
Review and implement recommendations of Technical Publications. (e.g. SBs & ADs).
Communicate with home office Service Center Engineering (Montreal) for technical advice and instructions.
Support quality improvements activities using Lean and Root Cause analysis methodologies.
Provide technical assistance to operation on high technical intensity/ complex shop equipment i.e. CMM, Test Cell equipment and Balancing machines.
Leading and support process and product improvement projects.
Lead/ support new product/ repair introduction and perform First Article Inspection (FAI).
Perform tooling design/ acceptance review.
Responsible for identifying and maintaining a safe workplace.
Qualifications You Must Have
Degree in Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
At least 3 years of technical experience in Aerospace Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul business.
Knowledge in Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
Strong customer focused and analytical skills for problem solving.
Strong team player who is self-motivated, pro-active and able to foster collaboration.
Possess a good track record in continuous improvement project.
Excellent written & verbal communication and presentation skills.
Intermediate skill in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Data Analysis
Qualifications We Prefer
Experienced in leading aero-engine troubleshooting and investigation.
Knowledge or experience with FAI process.
Experienced in creating traveler for component repair processes.
