RSM is seeking a highly motivated Senior Platform and Software Engineering Enablement Engineer Supervisor to create reusable engineering capabilities that improve software delivery, developer productivity, platform adoption, security, and operational excellence across the organization.
This role combines software engineering, platform engineering, AI enablement, DevSecOps, observability, and developer experience practices to help product teams deliver secure, scalable, and maintainable solutions more efficiently.
The engineer will partner closely with application teams, solution architects, platform teams, and technology leadership to develop reusable frameworks, automation solutions, self-service capabilities, observability tooling, AI-assisted development standards, and cloud delivery patterns used across the enterprise.
This role requires strong hands-on development skills, a platform mindset, and the ability to influence engineering practices at scale.
Essential Duties:
Platform Engineering & Developer Enablement: Lead the design, development, enhancement, and support of reusable engineering capabilities that improve software delivery and developer productivity across the enterprise. Develop and maintain internal platforms, libraries, templates, reference implementations, documentation, standards, and self-service solutions that enable teams to deliver secure, scalable, and maintainable software consistently. Partner with application teams, solution architects, and platform teams to evolve existing engineering platforms while introducing new capabilities that advance development, delivery, automation, observability, security, and AI-enabled engineering practices across the organization.
AI Enablement & Engineering Productivity: Support the adoption and advancement of AI-assisted software development capabilities across the organization. Evaluate, implement, and maintain solutions involving AI engineering tools, coding assistants, prompt libraries, agent-based development workflows, and engineering productivity platforms. Develop standards, guidance, and reusable patterns that help development teams safely and effectively leverage emerging AI technologies while maintaining quality, security, and governance requirements.
Security, Compliance & Observability Engineering: Implement and maintain engineering capabilities that support security, compliance, observability, and operational excellence across software delivery platforms. Contribute to security automation, code quality initiatives, compliance reporting, logging, monitoring, telemetry, and developer-facing dashboards. Partner with security, architecture, and platform teams to ensure delivery processes align with enterprise standards and regulatory requirements.
Cloud Platforms, DevOps & Infrastructure Automation: Support cloud platform engineering and infrastructure automation initiatives through Infrastructure as Code (IaC), CI/CD automation, deployment pipelines, and cloud-native services. Develop reusable deployment patterns, automation modules, and delivery capabilities that simplify application onboarding while enabling secure, scalable, and reliable cloud solutions. Collaborate with DevOps, platform, and infrastructure teams on continuous improvement initiatives across Azure and related engineering platforms.
TECHNICAL SKILLS
• AI Enablement: Experience with AI-assisted development, MCP integrations, prompt engineering, and engineering productivity tooling.
• Application Development Understanding: Solid working knowledge of .NET and React frameworks to support full-stack application delivery, engineering platforms, and developer enablement solutions.
• Automation and IaC: Skilled in designing and implementing automated processes using industry-standards tools, practices, and patterns (PowerShell, Python, Terraform)
• Azure Services: Proficient with AKS, App Config, App Insights, Function Apps, Key V• CI/CD Metrics and Optimization: Expertise in tracking, analyzing, and optimizing CI/CD performance metrics (DORA metrics) using tools such as (Prometheus and Grafana)
• Development Enablement and Standardization: Experienced in designing reusable templates, platform capabilities, CI/CD standards, and developer enablement solutions.
• Public Cloud Management: Extensive experience ault, Service Bus, etc.
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS
• Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, equivalent work history/experience or working towards achieving a degree.
EXPERIENCE
• Strong knowledge of Cloud, Platform Engineering, CI/CD, and automation services required
• 5+ years - DevOps, Platform Engineering, automation, or Infrastructure as Code technologies
• Experience with containerization and cloud-native platforms such as Docker, Kubernetes, or Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
• 5+ years - Integration and automation utilizing Azure, GitHub, ServiceNow, or similar enterprise platforms
• 4+ years - Azure Public Cloud Solutions
• Azure Data Integration Technologies (Azure Service Bus/Azure Data Factory)
• Agile Methodology, Site Reliability Engineering and ITIL framework
• Software development experience utilizing .NET, React, APIs, or modern application frameworks is a plus
• Experience supporting engineering platforms, developer productivity, or AI-enabled development solutions is a plus
• Static and Software Composition Analysis (SAST/SCA) implementation and integration across CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Veracode or SonarQube is a plus.
