Job Purpose

The Sales position is responsible for generating and supporting hotel business through relationship development, prospecting, account management, event coordination, and effective communication. This position contributes to occupancy, revenue, market share, and guest satisfaction by building strong relationships with clients and business partners.

What You'll Do

• Develop and execute sales strategies designed to achieve revenue, occupancy, and market-share objectives.
• Develop and maintain relationships with current and prospective clients and local business partners.
• Prospect for new business and follow up on leads, inquiries, and opportunities.
• Conduct sales calls, tours, presentations, and client meetings as appropriate.
• Prepare proposals, contracts, correspondence, and sales reports.
• Coordinate with operations, revenue management, catering, and other departments to meet client needs.
• Maintain accurate account, activity, and opportunity information.
• Support sales strategies designed to achieve revenue and market-share objectives.
• Represent the hotel professionally at community events, trade shows, and networking opportunities.
• Respond promptly to client requests and resolve concerns in partnership with hotel leadership.
• Monitor market conditions and competitive activity and communicate relevant information to leadership.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred for management roles.
• Previous hotel sales, hospitality, customer service, or related experience preferred.
• Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
• Results-oriented with strong organization and follow-through.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and sales-related systems.

Physical Requirements

This position requires the ability to:

• Sit, stand, walk, bend, reach, and use computers for extended periods.
• Travel locally and occasionally off-site for client meetings, events, and networking.
• Lift or carry marketing materials and supplies as needed.

• Sales and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems
• Property Management Systems (PMS)
• Revenue Management Systems
• Microsoft Office Suite
