Job Details
We are seeking a motivated and detail‑oriented Software Engineer (Embedded Systems) to join our multidisciplinary engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity for an early‑career electrical/software engineer who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast‑paced and dynamic environment. You will help shape the development of next‑generation high‑power fiber lasers and amplifiers that incorporate emerging optical technologies and their supporting electronic systems, and you’ll provide hands‑on support for deployed systems in the field.
Responsibilities
Contribute to the software and firmware development of electronic systems containing embedded microcontrollers and FPGAsSupport prototyping and bring-up of printed circuit boards, cable harnesses, and embedded hardware assemblies containing programmable devicesParticipate in testing and validation of new and existing electronics and softwareCreate documentation including test plans/test reports, design notes, manufacturing instructions, interface control documents, and operating instructionsCollaborate cross functionally to resolve issues during development, integration, transition to manufacturing, and field operationInfrequent travel for hands-on field support, conferences, etc.Other duties as requiredMinimum Qualifications
B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline0-2 years of relevant work experienceExperience with embedded programming in CExperience with Verilog or VHDLHands-on experience with prototyping, debugging, and testing embedded electronicsPreferred Qualifications
