JOB DESCRIPTION/OVERVIEW:
The Sr. Analyst Finance assists the Finance Manager in all areas of plant accounting. Interacts with plant and corporate personnel to analyze and present data required to make sound business decisions. Backs up Finance Manager when Finance Manager is unavailable.
REPORTS TO
Directly to the Finance Manager
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Helps to coordinate, administer and maintain financial controls. This encompasses both company internal financial controls and SOX controls.
• Assists Finance Manager managing and maintaining standard cost input process for material, labor and overhead and cost roll changes updated in production.
• Prepare standard and miscellaneous journal entries for monthly accounting close.
• Prepare monthly balance sheet account reconciliations.
• Work with inventory manager to ensure accurate accounting for materials transactions and valuing of inventory.
• Coordinate with the materials department during physical inventories and prepare reconciliation of the perpetual inventory to the general ledger.
• Collaborate with other teams to provide accounting and reporting guidance on all financial transactions. Prepare data and analysis using QAD system and other systems for internal and external reporting.
• Assist in preparing monthly forecasts and annual budget.
• Assist Finance Manager conducting special projects, cost studies analysis and new business evaluations. Provides statistics, reports and recommendations resulting in cost reductions and profit improvements.
• Support data requests during internal and external audits.
• Track capital project spending and capitalization.
• Performs other miscellaneous accounting functions as directed by the Finance Manager.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS/EDUCATION:
Bachelor Degree in Accounting
EXPERIENCE
Five plus years accounting experience in a manufacturing accounting role and ERP experience. Some cost accounting background is preferred.

Work Schedule:
Mon-Fri | 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM
Assignment is expected to be 3 months to cover maternity leave; extension may be possible depending on business needs.
Position is 100% onsite in North Vernon, IN. No hybrid flexibility.
Interview Process:
2 Onsite interviews.
Additionally, Onsite PPE requirements while on the production floor, safety shoes, hearing protection and safety glasses.
