Position Summary:
Supporting Penske’s Transportation Brokerage business. The primary focus of the Financial Analyst will be controllership within the brokerage operating system and supporting financial systems of large quantities of Global brokerage transactions through the order to cash cycle with a focus on ensuring accurate revenue reporting and preventing revenue and expense leakages. Creation of the annual business plan and accurate monthly forecast explaining variances. The successful candidate will be someone who has a curious mind; actively pursues knowledge independently, is a critical thinker with a growth mindset; having a passion for the continuous improvement of complex processes.
Major Responsibilities:
-Annual business plan and monthly forecast development in collaboration with Leadership and Operations team’s input.
-Creation of monthly Revenue and Expense accruals.
-Act as the primary contact for problem solving and reporting needs of the Penske Logistics field finance personnel on brokerage issues.
Qualifications:
-Bachelor's Degree in either Accounting, Finance, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics.
-Comfortable navigating and understanding back-office Finance IT infrastructures and Systems.
-Ability to work additional hours when needed to meet deadlines.
-Minimal travel as necessary.
-Willingness to work the required schedule and to complete the Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug
screening is required.
