POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES
The Assistant Director assists the Director in coordinating the activities and functions of all actions related to community engagement and outreach as well as any grant activities related to department efforts. Performs specific administrative and management duties to enhance and support the Director, utilizing initiative and expert working knowledge of all duties. Assists employees in the development and enhancement of outreach and population health initiatives and activities. Assists in the development of health education program development and completing grant submissions.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in a related field and three years of related supervisory and management experience is required. A master’s degree in public health is preferred. Must have a minimum of three years of experience in directly managing health programs or grants. Must have excellent writing and communication skills.
