About the team
Cox Automotive is transforming the way the world buys, sells, owns, and uses vehicles. Within Cox Automotive, the Digital Commerce organization builds the software that dealers rely on to market to consumers, manage customer relationships, and turn data into sales. This role helps define the strategy for that portfolio and where it goes next.
About the role
The Senior Director, CXP Strategy & Execution is responsible for the strategy across our Customer Experience Platform (CXP) portfolio, which spans CRM, customer data, marketing, and AI-driven consumer engagement. This leader defines how these areas connect to one another and to the broader platform strategy.
An early priority is to shape and realize the strategic value of the portfolio as new and existing capabilities are brought together. For opportunities that sit within the CXP, this leader owns the strategy and the plan to realize it. For adjacent opportunities owned by other business leaders, the role serves as a strategic thought partner, staying close to the work, validating the approach, and keeping leadership informed on progress and the value created.
This is a leadership role rather than a project management role. It requires strong general management judgment and a leader who is equally effective setting long-range strategy and engaging in the operational detail required to move it forward. The role develops the business cases the organization relies on and rigorously evaluates proposals to ensure they are sound, working credibly across financial analysis, go-to-market planning, and cross-functional working sessions.
Over time, CXP strategy becomes the central focus of the role: a clear vision for where CRM, customer data, marketing, and AI-driven consumer engagement are headed, how they align with the platform, and the commercial strategy that brings them to market.

“It’s incredibly meaningful to be alongside Student Veterans of America, helping student veterans navigate that pivotal moment between college and their careers. We’re proud to be by their side—not just opening doors to opportunities, but helping them see what’s possible for their futures. This partnership is about investing in their potential, believing in their strengths, and making sure they have the guidance, support, and confidence to take their next step.
